Wild About nature field day

We had our annual “Wild About Nature” day, September 24th, at Sinnemahoning State Park. It was a great day with 4TH, 5TH and 6th grade students from Cameron County Woodland Elementary. Awesome Falconry demonstration by Jeremiah Weber who brought his own red-tail hawk and American Kestrel which is North Americas smallest falcon. Students also learned about stream bank erosion from Sinnemahoning State Park Staff, Outdoor Survival skills with Mountaineer Search and Rescue and took bird walks with CCOYA, Mark Johnson and Marsha Hendrickson. Thank You Cameron County Conservation District for coordinating the event and Sinnemahoning State Park for hosting the event. Also a big thank you to all the presenters. It was fun and educational day for our students!
