Cameron County Youth Outdoor Activities (CCYOA) Director, Don Bickford, presented a slideshow presentation along with an update on the organizations activities at the Rotary luncheon meeting January 30th. CCOYA is a 501c3 organization based at the Andrews Farm, 174 Nickler Road, Emporium, providing area youth with the opportunity to experience the outdoors through collaboration partnerships with many organizations and volunteers.
Some of the educational activities and projects include environmental education, third grade Woodland Elementary trout in the classroom, Outdoor Club, service projects, shooting sports, river clean up, wildlife management, astronomy, honey bees, aquatics & wetland education, archery program, Monarch butterfly, reptile and birding programs, water craft safety, canoeing & kayaking and ice fishing.
