The 2020 CCOYA Youth Fish Fest was canceled due to the COVID–19 pandemic. One year later we are still practicing social distancing guidelines. However, things have begun to open up especially for outside venues. With that in mind, CCOYA moved forward with a scaled down version of the popular Fish Fest that historically takes place on the opening day of regular Pennsylvania Trout season. The pond was stocked with several hundred rainbow trout. We had over 125 registered youth ages 14 and younger who attended the event. The Ryan Magaro Family donated bait worms for the event in memory of their son, Enzo who had passed away earlier this spring. Although we did not have all the extra activities we normally plan, we had a great event and many fish were caught. As always hot dogs, hamburgers, coffee and hot chocolate was served. We are already looking forward to CCOYA Fish Fest 2022 in hopes to have a more normal event. We thank Cameron County Fire Police for traffic and parking patrol. Also, a huge thank you to our faithful CCOYA volunteers that cooked and served refreshments throughout the day.
