ANDREWS FARM

A large number of CCOYA events are held at Andrews Farm just outside of Emporium in Salt Run. The property, owned by the Russell-Andrews family since 1864, has a rich vibrant history. We are excited to share some of that with you.

In an article graciously provided by the Cameron County Historical Society (The Cameron County Press - December 22, 1910.) The article announces and describes the wedding of the Frances Leadbetter and Arch Andrews, grandparents of CCOYA's founder, Ron Andrews.

In another article also provided by the Cameron County Historical Society (The Cameron County Press - February 23, 1911) we learn the home of Mr. and Mrs. Andrews caught fire and was destroyed just two short months following their wedding.

The homestead was originally built in the 1840s and destroyed by the fire written about here in 1911. It was quickly rebuilt following the disaster and has since undergone extensive renovation.
